Partnerships with our customers allow us to build internal and external knowledge and take action together to meet our shared sustainability challenges, across the full life-cycle of end products.

Product safety and regulatory compliance remain top priorities for us and our customers. Givaudan has very stringent methodologies to assure the quality and the safety of its products. We conform to all national and international flavour and fragrance regulations that include longstanding and detailed protocols to ensure the safety of all materials that are used.

In 2011 we began a series of webinars to help inform Flavours’ customers about our health and wellness programme. We continue to engage with them to help them meet increasing nutritional requirements and government regulations regarding salt, fat and sugar content without compromising the taste consumers love.

Our commitment to health and wellness is illustrated by our Flavour Division's target of CHF 100 million incremental growth from health and wellness related products.

In June 2011, our Fragrance Division led an industry debate at a Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) UK round table discussion in London about the steps that need to be taken to ensure that the marketing appeal of exotic ingredients does not exceed the supply of nature’s finite resources.

We also sponsored the inaugural CEW Eco Beauty Award in the USA in 2011. In 2012 we will be sponsoring the CEW Eco Beauty Award in the UK.
